The YWCA of Central Massachusetts is part an international women's movement with more than two
million members working to empower women and eliminate racism.
An annual supporting membership to the YWCA of Central Massachusetts costs $40 and can be transferred
to any YWCA in the country. Family, Youth, and Senior rates are also available. Individual membership
is offered to women and girls 12 years of age and older.
Once you become a member, you'll enjoy a variety of interesting, exciting, and personally
enriching activities that include the opportunity to:
- Support an organization that provides services and support to women and their
families at critical points in their lives. These services include child care, career
counseling, domestic violence programs, transitional housing, teen parenting programs,
after-school programs, emergency shelter, and a wide variety of health and fitness programs.
- Strengthen your voice by adding it to the collective voice of your local and regional
YWCAs that speak out to support human rights, oppose racism, and create a greater public
awareness of social and political issues affecting women and their families including:
job equity, dependent care, health care, and violence against women.
- Have meaningful opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with dynamic and interesting
women of diverse backgrounds.
- Increase your leadership skills by volunteering your time to serve on a variety of
rewarding task forces, committees, or boards (including a youth advisory council).
- Get to know the members of your community by getting involved and experience the
personal satisfaction of volunteer work.
